“Grace suits up.”

Hello everyone and happy Sunday!  It’s pouring here in the Bay area today and it’s the perfect setting for staying in and writing for my blog.  There are no longer remnants of summer lingering around, so I just wanted to share one of my last looks from the past season.  I just can’t get enough of summer, but its time to bid adieu. :/

I’ve been playing around with layering lately and I found that piling on corresponding colored pieces radiates a clean and chic look.  For example, my getup here is casual but urbane.  I try to make an effort when it comes to keeping my look polished when it’s informal.  It makes such a big difference! If you have noticed a pattern on a lot of my looks (sneakers > heels), there’s no question why I chose sneakers to anchor this suit.  I wanted to give this modern classic a fun twist and mostly, very “me”.

I’m almost certain that I’ll be repeating these colors in the winter (Yes to winter whites!) so watch out for that.  I can’t wait to style a similar look, but fitting for fall/winter.

Goodbye, summer.  I’m sad to see you go, but I’m looking forward to styling chunky knits, leather, and beanies! ❤️

P.S.  Special thanks to EssexLA for my custom clutch!  Customize your own here.

Joie x Herradura x My Style and Grace

Pre #HumpDay vibes on the blog right now!

My blogger bestie, Monica of Living In Vogue and I had the opportunity to host a happy hour/bloggers social sponsored by Tequila Herradura at the Joie boutique in SF.  Cocktails and good vibes all night and of course, shopping!  Here are some of the highlights from the event captured by the beautiful Melissa De Mata.  It was so much fun!

Bittersweet Fall.

Today marks the first day of the Fall Solstice.  It’s one of my favorite seasons, but this year feels bittersweet.  A month ago on August 22, my dad entered the gates of Heaven. The past few weeks have been heavy on my heart.  There are no words to explain the unbearable heartache, but because I am an extension of my father, I will try to live everyday through him and for him, honoring him in everything that he taught me in life. Living with just half of my heart now, but I choose to let light and God’s Grace in to help me live stronger with more love and compassion.

With that said, I’m going to keep blogging with even more passion and move forward from here on.  After all, my dad was my biggest fan and if he were still here today, he’d encourage me to keep going.

Thank you all for being understanding and sticking with me during this difficult time of my life.  I appreciate each one of you. <3

All my love,

“Currently Coveting – All things blush!”

Hi guys!  I wanted to start a new series of things that I’m “currently coveting” on my blog!  Right now, I am obsessed with anything blush!  From shoes to bags, I just can’t get enough of this color.  Definitely my favorite hue this season!  Check out my current faves below:

“How do I wear bralette crop tops? Come see!”

Hey guys!  I’m back with an outfit post finally!  Woo hoo!

Summer is here and the heat is on!  Crop tops have been a major summer staple for a while now.  If you have rocked this look, then you’re most likely going to like the bralette/crop top combo like the one I’m wearing here.  When I tried this top on, I fell in love with it, but didn’t have the guts to wear it by itself.  I just thought that it was a little too daring for me, so my denim jacket came to the rescue!  Problem solved. Layering it with any piece of outerwear will give your outfit a more relaxed, but subtle sexy look.  Balance plays a major role on how to wear a bralette crop top:  Opt for something high-waisted (pants, skirt, shorts) to make it look less risqué.  I like when a bit of skin is showing and most of the mid drift is covered.  Classy is key!

Many of you know about the Nordstrom anniversary sale that’s going on now. Guess what?  This top just went on sale!  Grab it while it’s hot!  Happy shopping <3
