“Not so cold shoulders.”

It’s almost the weekend, guys!  The weather has been amazing here lately (we are so spoiled in California!) that I’ve been shedding off the unnecessary layers when it comes to my wardrobe.  I wanted to show off my sun kissed glow wearing this top from my favorite Aussie brand, Cmeo Collective.  I love the way it highlights my collarbones!  Off the shoulder tops are so effortless that you can wear it with almost ANY bottoms and it looks well put-together.  I don’t normally have red pieces in my closet, but I had to make an exception for this beauty!  Photos doesn’t even do it justice.  I love the heavy fabric and how structured the top is – subtle and sexy without trying too hard.  I have a feeling that this top and I are going to be inseparable all Spring and Summer!  I highly suggest baring those shoulders and collarbones this season, ladies! <3

“Neutrals are your friend.”

I’ve always been big on neutrals.  I love the subtleness and the flexibility on being able to interchange several pieces – it ALWAYS works.  It also looks luxurious without looking over the top.  With a simple grey tee from Kit & Ace to start with, (which by the way, the softest shirt I have ever owned. Thanks Kit & Ace!) I was able to build this look by piling more neutrals on top.  The best part is, you can add ANY color from a neutral palette and it simply works.  It’s definitely a no brainer!  If you want to stick with just one color, that’s ok too!  Tip: Just make sure you try mixing different textures and layers to break up the silhouette.  So easy, right?!  Neutrals for the win! <3

“Happy Love Day!”

It’s Valentine’s day!  Do you have any plans for today/tonight?  In need of a last-minute going out/date outfit?  I’ve got you covered.  Something easy and not the usual cliché (cherry red!) that will make you arrive in style without looking like a Valentine’s day enthusiast!

Instead of wearing a red dress, I opted for darker colors: an oversized black blazer with a little peek of my bralette showing and a silver metallic pleated skirt with black pumps. If skirts don’t tickle your fancy, you can also do a leather pant or even denim and still look effortless!  For my flirty details, I added touches of pinks and blushes throughout. Not too much, but just enough to compliment the darks and for contrast.  Accessory tip:  statement earrings can easily add glam and polish such a simple look.  I wanted a fresh-faced look so I kept my makeup soft and finished it off with a cute little topknot!

Hope you guys like my no-fuss look for Valentine’s day.  It’s sweet without looking over the top!  Have fun celebrating love day. <3

“When you can’t decide between a skirt or shorts…”

It’s a sunny and warm Super Bowl Sunday and I couldn’t help but bare my legs today. Spring is slowly making its way back and so are my shorts/skirts this season.  On occasion, my preference of shorts or skirts are one and the same.  Then, I remembered that there’s a skirt and short hybrid called the skort.  The last time I wore a skort was probably back in the 4th grade, but I am making am exception now!  With its asymmetrical cut, how can you not love it?  I’m really not a big fan of short skirts because of the inconvenience (no flashing of undies for me), but with skorts, I feel like I can live care-free.  Dressed up or down, this closet favorite can be styled in so many ways.  With the weather transitioning to warmer temperatures, I ditched my jacket for this look but instead, I added over the knee socks and a beanie for warmth (just in case).

I hope you guys had a great weekend!  Off to tackle another week.  Here we go! <3
