Spring is almost here and I am craving for a transition in my wardrobe!  California weather has been kind of tricky these past couple of weeks. One day it’s warm, then the next day is cold and gloomy.  Like, what?  Stop confusing me!  Haha! I don’t like it when the weather interferes with my wardrobe planning.  Anybody else feel that way sometimes? Let’s keep it real for a second, this bipolar weather can make wardrobe styling a little bit confusing!  I tend to stay away from heavy, winter wear around this time of year because I feel it is unnecessary.  When the spring month is near approaching, I am all about lighter fabrics, softer color palettes and less layers.

It’s good to invest in a light spring coat or trench depending on your preference.  Trench coats are a great option and the weatherproof ones are pretty darn amazing!  Also, choosing the right color is key when it comes to picking out a great spring coat.  I am obsessed with light neutrals and pastels because it doesn’t remind me of the dark and cold winter months!  I fell in love with this patterned coat in a beautiful powdered pink color because it is so pretty and feminine!  The material is enough to keep me cozy when it does get chilly, but not too heavy for when it gets warmer either!  It’s a perfect coat that can transition from winter to spring which is why this piece makes a great addition to any wardrobe.

I wear ripped jeans all year round because they’re easy to pair with anything.  Whether you are wearing multiple layers or none, dressed up or down, it adds a little edge to your look.  I’m wearing my Topshop jeans here and these have been on heavy rotation ever since I got them.  It’s a grayish almost black wash (not too dark!) and I loved the fit so much that I stocked up in other colors!  To streamline the palette, I paired it with a basic tank in gray (also from Topshop) and my nude, clear heel sandals from Jeffrey Campbell (sold out)!  I love the feeling of being able to ditch the boots and socks to show off my pedicures finally!  I played around with my jewelry by mixing gold accents with jewel tones to finish this “ready for spring” outfit.  I am looking forward to dressing up for the warmer months ahead!  Who else is ready to spring forward with me? <3
