Need to be somewhere quick, but have no clue on what to wear?  This is my dilemma all the time whenever I am running late.  Always in a panic, I find myself throwing on this “time saver but looks put together” item: The mini dress.  What’s not to love?  It’s September and we hit just a little bit under 100 degrees today.  When I’m in a rush and it’s hot, I prefer throwing on one pieces like rompers, jumpsuits, or a mini dress (my obsession lately).  I’m not such a huge fan of the skin-tight silhouettes so I usually opt for loose-fitting, swing dress type items.   I love the effortlessness and it’s just something easy for those warmer days.  All you have to do is throw it on and go about your day.  I’m 5’1 (shorty!) and I can get away with tunic tops worn as a dress.  For all you fun sized shorties out there, this is also a great alternative to a mini dress.  Just throw on some shorts underneath if you feel they are too short.

Dressed up or down, there’s really no wrong way to wear this striped number.  I’m a sneaker girl, so I had to go with my olive Isabel Marant Bobby sneakers with this look.  This outfit was made for the chick on the go, so I just grabbed my favorite leopard print clutch and hat and I was out the door!  Tip: ladies, don’t be afraid to mix patterns and prints together as long as the colors match!

I love this dress so much that I might do a dressed up version of this for the upcoming fall season.  Thoughts?

I hope you guys had a great Labor day weekend!  Bye for now because this girl’s gotta run but first, let me throw on a mini dress real quick! <3
