A leather skirt by itself is innately sexy.  Don’t get me wrong, looking sexy isn’t a bad thing, but even with the longer hems of that leather skirt, it can be read as “skanky” if you’re not careful!  When wearing such a bold piece, it is crucial for me to balance it out by keeping the top part modest with loose silhouettes, especially if you are going to wear heels. Balance is key, ladies!  If heels aren’t your thing, you can wear it with booties or flats instead and swap out that loose shirt with a fitted top.  Uh, huh.  That’s right.  Balance is key, ladies!!! (three snaps in a “Z” formation!)

I love the contrast of black and white together so I paired this leather peplum skirt with just a plain ‘ol white tee.  I also love a pop of color, so I decided to play it up with a colorful clutch which also happens to match my bold lips!  Winning!  For my signature “sunnies with every outfit” look, I wore oversized frames to keep it classy and finished my ensemble with fun laced up heels – very downtown cool AND modest. <3
