A week ago, I attended my first conference, Create + Cultivate with one of my girlfriends, Joanne  from Go fit Jo and also met up with my other blogger gal pal Chelsea from The Millenial Miss in L.A.  If you read one of my posts from this past month, I mentioned that I actually won the tickets to this conference!  Lucky me, right?!  From the vendors to the sponsors and attendees, the energy in the place was exciting and fun! The warehouse was packed with aspiring creatives who were eager to learn from a talented list of panelists, hosts and mentors.  It was a pretty long day, (8 AM – 8 PM) but it was informative and encouraging!

So, what did I learn?  Dreams don’t work unless YOU do. I learned that investing in myself and in my future requires hard work.  When I first started my blog, I didn’t realize the amount of work and time spent behind it.  I am still acquiring new things as I go! So far, it has been a little challenging trying to find balance between work and my personal life, but you know what? I am doing what I LOVE!  I also learned that building relationships and a strong community is valuable and should be mutually beneficial. They also talked about developing and creating a personal brand, but staying true and authentic to yourself at the same time.  This advice was beneficial for me because by staying true to myself, I am able to discover my purpose and capable of following through and reaching my goals with blogging. I left the conference feeling confident, ready to work and tackle on new challenges.  Today, I’d like to leave you with a positive reminder in hopes that you will utilize it one day : No matter what you do, keep it honest, simple, and most importantly, keep it YOU. <3

  1. Seriously, you are one of the prettiest people I’ve ever seen!
Your photos in this post look like they were taken on a professional camera- so crisp, I adore them! I’m super jealous I don’t live on the West Coast near you or I would’ve done just about anything to go to that conference, too. I want to hear all of the tips and tricks that you learned 🙂 XOXO
